The 2002 vintage offers some alluring wines of seamless complexity. More concentrated than some previous vintages, these are wines for drinking now or holding.
For those of you who are up on your clonal varieties here’s what we selected: Wadenswil 2a, Dijon 115, 667, and 777. Then we have that old workhorse, Pommard along with the elusive Mt. Eden clone. From each of these clones we discover unique flavors, which, come blending time, provides us with a delightful challenge. It’s like having an Allstar team you’re trying to get to play together. Well, we got the teams assembled and they are playing together beautifully!
’02 Bien Nacido Chardonnay (From our estate grown grapes and selected sites at Bien Nacido Vineyard)
